How to explore comments

Use this guide to dig deeper into the comments inside an analysis. You can search by keyword, use shortcuts and filters, select a trending topic, or click into specific themes.

To explore comments, you need to create an analysis first. See How to create an analysis


Explore comments using the search field

  1. Open an analysis you created in the past, or create a new one

  2. In the Explore card above the Insights card, type a topic or keyword into the search field, or select from one of the following options:

    • Shortcuts – filter by Sentiment, Relevance, or any of the following search types:

      • Keyword/Mention

      • Question

      • Criticism Towards Creator

      • Support Towards Creator

      • Awareness

      • Category Support

      • Conversion

      • Evaluation

      • Feedback

    • Trends

      • These are topic pills generated from the analysis, based on relevant themes that Siftsy identified in the comments

    • Filters – set persistent comment filters for:

      • Sentiment

      • Relevance

      • Comment Types

      • Keywords

      • Usernames

  3. After you type a topic or keyword, click Search

A new analysis tab will appear below the Explore card with its own Insights card, showing the context, search term, and metrics for the narrowed set of comments.


Explore comments from the Insights card

  1. Open an analysis you created in the past, or create a new one

  2. Under the certain sections in the Insights card, look for search icons next to themes or topics identified in the comments

  3. Click the search icon to explore further

A new analysis tab will be created for the searched theme or topic, with its own insights and metrics.
